1. Terms of Use
The Service conforms to "Terms of Use of Research Data" (https://earth.jaxa.jp/policy/en.html).
2. User registration
User registration is required before saving (download) any data of the Service. The Service adopts a user authentication system based on a set of user accounts and passwords.
The information required for registration is your name, E-mail address, type of affiliation, organization/affiliation, residential country, category of data usage, and field of interests. Please register here.
3. Cancellation of user registration
If you want to delete your user registration, please notify the JAXA/EORC AMSR office. Contact information is at the end of this document.
4. Protection and handling of personal information
JAXA handles the personal information (name, E-mail address, type of affiliation, organization/affiliation, country of residence, category of data usage, and field of interest) in accordance with the Code and other laws and regulations regarding personal information including GDPR and JAXA's rules on the protection of personal information. For details, refer to "Consent form for handling personal information based on GDPR" (https://earth.jaxa.jp/en/data/policy/gdpr/index.html) and "Terms of Use of Research Data - Space Technology Directorate I" (https://earth.jaxa.jp/policy/en.html).
JAXA does not use registered personal information except for the following purposes:
- Statistics and analysis of data use
- Questionnaire surveys to users for improvement of the Service
- Responses to inquiries from users
In addition, JAXA employs other companies to perform those on our behalf: system management, user management, and the Water Cycle & Water Resource Management Research Group operation. They may access personal information to perform the above functions but may not use it for any other purpose.
5. Management of account and password
User accounts and passwords are managed and used under the responsibility of user. JAXA is not responsible for any loss or damage or due to any other cause beyond the control of JAXA that may be caused by misuse of a user's account or password by another person.
6. Ownership of data
The copyrights of the image, data, and other materials provided in the Service are the property of JAXA. Please use them in compliance with the conditions stipulated in "Terms of Use of Research Data" (https://earth.jaxa.jp/policy/en.html).
7. Stopping the Service
JAXA reserves the right to delete a user's registration if the user not complied with the Terms of Use or are using the Service inappropriately.
8. Changes to the Service
JAXA may change the Terms of Use, service contents, and conditions of the Service. JAXA shall notify users of the change on "Information" of the Service. Please confirm the change when you use this service for the first time after the change.
9. Termination of the Service
JAXA reserves the right to terminate the Service for JAXA's own reasons. In that case, JAXA shall notify the user of the termination beforehand by proper means.
10. How to cite
Please specify the following sentence when you publish a thesis, a report, and so on by using the research products and images supplied by the Service.
" '*** that was used in this paper' was supplied by the AMSR Viewer, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA)."
The JAXA/EORC AMSR office is collecting the related literature. It would be much appreciated if you could send a reprint or a copy of your research paper to the JAXA/EORC AMSR office at the end of this document.

JAXA is not responsible to you for any damage that may be caused by the use of the Service and/or the information on the Service.
JAXA may change or delete the information on the Service, or may suspend or terminate the operation of the Service. JAXA is not responsible for any inconvenience that may be caused by such changes or deletion of the information, or by such suspension or termination of the operation of the Service.
