Nara Prefecture is located in the
center of the Honshu, Japan’s main island. Nara became
the capital of Japan in 710 AD. As the city’s Buddhist
monasteries came into power, it became a political threat
to the government, the capital was moved to Nagaoka in
784. The city has a full of historical assets, including
some of Japan’s oldest temples, shrines, many of
which are preserved in good condition.
The current population of Nara City is little less than 1.5
million. Many of them commute to Osaka. Due to its proximity
to larger cities, the population has been increasing over
time.
Climate In
the beginning of September, it is normally hot and humed.
The average of highest temperature is about 30ºC and
the lowest is about 20ºC.

Nara-ken New Public Hall is
situated in Nara Park, which was established in 1880. In
the park, you will find one of the city's landmark Todai-ji
Temple which houses the Japan's largest Buddha statue. Nara
Park is also famous for freely roaming deer.
