to Nara Station |

(A) From Kansai International
Airport |

It is advisable to arrive
to Kansai International Airport (KIX), and take Airport Limousine
Bus to either Nara Hotel or Nara Train Station. The buses
for Nara leave from the ground floor of KIX airport between
7:40am to 8:40pm, and the travel time is about 85 minutes.
The bus fare is 1,800 yen.

(B) From Tokyo/Narita Airport |

If you are arriving in Narita Airport,
it is advisable to take a domestic flight to Osaka/Itami
Airport or Kansai Airport. Although the number of domestic
flights is limited, it is faster than to take ground transportation
all the way from Narita Airport. From Osaka/Itami Airport,
the bus runs every hour between 8:30am to 9:15pm. It takes
about 50minutes, and costs 1,440yen

Trains
If you plan to travel around by trains
in Japan, it is recommended to purchase Japan Rail Pass, which
is valid for most of JR (Japan Railways) trains. The pass is
valid for Hikari or Kodama super express trains (Shinkansen),
but it is not good for Nozomi (the fastest) trains. The pass
is only available for foreign visitors with the entry status
of "temporary visitor." The pass should be purchased
prior to your departure since it is not available in Japan.

From Narita Airport, please take Narita
Express train to Tokyo Station (65min.), and then transfer
to super express trains Shinansen (Nozomi/2h33m or Hikari/2h59h)
to Kyoto. At Kyoto, transfer to JR trains (Express Miyakoji/41min.)
bound for Nara Sta.

Step 2: From Nara Stations
(JR or Kintetsu-line) to
Nara-ken New Public Hall |

Please take one of
the following city buses which stop at “Daibutsu-den
Kasugataisha mae” (approx. 5 min.) Buses run quite
often throughout the day. From the bus stop, the venue
is about 3 minutes by walk towards the East.
