The Calibration Factor (CF) for ScanSAR mode (beam W2) products ordered before Sep. 28, 2016, 7:00 UT has been changed from -83.0 dB to -79.0 dB because an analysis using a lot of data accumulated over Amazonian forests after initial calibration phase revealed that the backscattering coefficient of ScanSAR W2 was low. This issue was corrected in the processing software released on Sep. 28, 2016. We apologize for the incovenience.

Therefore,in case of ordering PALSAR-2 product in processing level 1.1 and 1.5, please order with check the visual examination request until resolving the data anomaly. When we have resolved it, we will inform you.

Ortho-correction images will be provided based on "SRTM 90m Digital Elevation Database v4.1(CSI)" within scene areas from 60th parallel south to 60th parallel north. About scene areas beyond 60th parallel south or beyond 60th parallel north, ortho-correction images will be provided based on elevation zero.
