LEVEL 2

Introduction

OCTS Level 2 products are classified into three products the same as Level 1A products; GAC, LAC, and RTC. Each Level 2 product is divided into four subproducts:

Ocean color 1 product stores following data.

Ocean color 2 product stores following data: Vegetation indices product stores following data Sea surface temperature product stores following data:

V Group

Of the following nine V groups, five V groups, Scan-Line Attributes, Geophysical Data, Raw ADEOS Data, Converted Telemetry, and Navigation, contain data that are functions of scan lines. That is, each data object within these V groups have data for each scan line and is therefore dimensioned by the value of the global attribute, Number of Scan Lines. Thus, to get all the data corresponding to a specific scan line, n, the n the values of all data objects in these five V groups would need to be read.
