Sunday December 9, 2002 : in the morning JST

[5th Anniversary of TRMM Satellite Launch]
November 28, 2002

5 years have passed since the TRMM satellite was launched on Nov. 28, 1997. As the satellite is still keeping on its observation satisfactorily, NASDA will continue to provide its data and images to the TRMM users.

[TRMM Commemorative International Symposium in Osaka]
November 15, 2002

The international symposium commemorating the 5th anniversary of the TRMM satellite launch was held at Osaka Prefecture University on November 14, 2002.
The title of the symposium is "Earth Observation from Space - Centering on Water Cycle".

A new database for tropical cyclones observed by TRMM is now available.
You can download data files(HDF) and picture images for each cyclone free of charge. Click here.
