Smoke Over Northeast China and North Korea

Smoke from fires around Lake Baikal in southern Russia is drifting through Mongolia to northeast China and North Korea. A tremendous amount of thick smoke has been churned out by burning for weeks. It appears gray and darker than white clouds in this image, and covers Beijing completely. This smoke may influence the daily lives of local residents.
