On the occasion of the 2nd TRMM International Science Conference, an public seminar "Rainfall Observation from Space" will be held.
TRMM will be reboosted to its nominal operating altitude on August 12 (EDT) consistent with the recent decision to extend TRMM's science operations through the end of 2004.
JAXA is officially informed by NASA that the operation of TRMM will be extended through the end of 2004.

The TRMM/PR Algorithm Instruction Manual was revised for Version 6. See the "Document" page of this Web site.
JAXA and NASA have started to provide a new version (Version 6) of TRMM standard products. The TRMM Version 6 data are available from April 1, 2004. Concurrently, existing TRMM data are also being reprocessed back to the start of the mission. Major algorithm & data format changes from V5 to V6 are described in the "Document" page of this Web site.

The deadline for abstract submission of the 2nd TRMM International Science Conference was extended until June 4th, 2004. We look forward to receiving more papers!

A tropical cyclone occurred in the South Atlantic Ocean in which no cyclone has ever been observed since the beginning of the satellite era in the mid-1960's. TRMM caught the precious tropical cyclone. Go "TRMM Tropical Cyclone Database"!
