TRMM posters and pamphlets produced by Japanese TRMM project, past event information (workshops and symposiums) and old web contents are archived at "Museum."
2004 edition of "Global Rainfall" and "Global Sea Surface Temperature" posters captured by TRMM. "Global Rainfall" was derived from PR (Precipitation Radar) 3A25 product, and "Global Sea Surface Temperature" was from VIRS (Visible Infrared Scanner) 1B01 product. Both latest data were used at the time these posters were made.
EORC starts to produce two kinds of poster series, "Global Rainfall" and "Global Sea Surface Temperature", to provide users conscice images of TRMM observation.
"Global Rainfall" poster shows monthly accumulated rainfall at near surface observed by the TRMM Precipitation Radar (3A25 algorithm) and "Global Sea Surface Temperature" poster shows monthly mean sea surface temperature retrieved from the TRMM Microwave Imager using Shibata algorithm. Each poster contains twelve months' images on a sheet (a yearly data).
