THE SECOND ADEOS WORKSHOP

The Second ADEOS Workshop will be held at the Pacific Convention Plaza Yokohama
(PACIFICO Yokohama) from March 10 (Monday) through March 14 (Friday), 1997.
- The Plenary Sessions on March 10 and March 11 will be open to the public
as the ADEOS Symposium. In the Plenary Sessions, the following will be
reported by EA, MITI, NASA, CNES and NASDA:
- Status of satellite and sensors,
- Calibration results of sensors,
- Initial validation results of products,
- Calibration and validation plans, and
- Data distribution plan.
- Team meetings of sensor teams and science teams will be held on March 12
and March 13 and in the morning of March 14.
- The closing session will be held in the afternoon of March 14, and results
of team discussion meetings will be reported in the closing session.
The PACIFICO Yokohama is located in the center of Yokohama city, approximately
30 km southwest of Tokyo. It takes approximately 40 minutes to travel from the
Tokyo Station to the PACIFICO Yokohama.
You will receive detailed information such as the provisional agenda,
registration instructions, and hotel reservations by the end of December. If
you wish to make a presentation in your sensor or science team meeting, please
contact your team leader as soon as possible.
Notes
- Please note that NASDA generally will not provide financial support for
anyone who attends this Workshop.
- Citizens of countries which do not have Reciprocal Visa Exemption
Arrangements with Japan must obtain a visa from a Japanese Embassy or
Consulate prior to entering Japan. Sometimes it takes more than a month to
obtain a visa. If you wish to attend this Workshop and you must obtain a
visa or you do not know whether a visa is necessary or not, please contact
a Japanese Embassy or Consulate in your country as soon as possible.
