"Today's Earth (TE)" is JAXA's land surface & river simulation system developed under the joint research with University of Tokyo. The system distributes & visualizes various hydrological products and their magnitudes for disaster monitoring and hydrological research.

Floods in Northern Kyusyu (Aug, 2019)Torrential rain hit southwestern Japan. In Saga prefecture in Kyushu, the hourly precipitation exceeded 100 millimeters. According to the Japan Broadcasting Corporation, the flooding there hit an ironworks factory and caused what appears to be oil to spill out.
