Flood

These satellite images were acquired before and after a flood in China caused by continual rain during June and July 2003. In wide-coverage image (upper), we see muddy sand flowing to the sea. Comparing the images of Huai River (lower left) before the flood with images after the flood (lower right), we see that the river became wider. These images can help to locate flooded areas and conduct appropriate evacuation activities.
