Earth project analyze to convert normal data to high level data, and we are developing new analysis method which enables to improve accuracy, to validate or calibrate data.

About Earth Observation
We can use satellite data in various fields, making full use of the benefits of Earth observation by satellite, such as observing wide areas many times under the same conditions. In this page, we introduce examples of utilizing satellite data.
Earth Observation Research
We analyze observation data acquired by Earth-observing satellites, develop algorithms to derive geophysical parameters and to calibrate and validate satellite data, and try to maintain the quality of the data.
Data Distribution Service
JAXA receives and records a satellite mission data in ground station such as Earth Observation Center (EOC). The data we got is provided a lot of users after calibration process.

The satellite data obtained by JAXA's earth observation satellites and research results are elaborated on the data portal site "JAXA for Earth - Earth Data Collection by JAXA Satellites".
A lot of data can be used free of charge and are available for commercial use.
