Dataflow in EOC

Telemetry and science observation data of TRMM will be transmitted to the ground via NASA's Tracking and Data Relay Satellite (TDRS).
Satellite operation, pre-processing (Level-0 processing) of all data, higher level processing of PR, TMI and VIRS data, and the processing of ground truth data will be conducted at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC). Level-0 processed CERES and LIS data will be transmitted to Langley Research Center and Marshall Space Flight Center of NASA, respectively. Level-0 data will also be transmitted to Japan, and higher level processing of PR, TMI, and VIRS data will be performed at NASDA's Earth Observation Center (EOC).
The resulting higher level products (Level 1-3 products) will be distributed to users, which include many scientists in the field of climatology, meteorology, hydrology, etc. in Japan, U.S. and various other countries.
