Transportation from/to the airport
The airport Guglielmo Marconi of Bologna is relatively close to the city and thus the transfer is quite rapid. There are two types of transportation:
|
Aerobus Aerobus is a shuttle service run by TPER, Bologna's local transport company, connecting the Airport with the city centre and the railway station. It runs every 11 minutes every day of the year, making it the most convenient way to reach the city centre. The cost is 6 Euro per person one way. The first bus runs at 05:30 am every 11 min till 00:15 am. Timetables, info and also the possibility of purchasing the tickets can be found at: Aerobus |
Taxi Taxis are available any time outside the arrival area at the airport. They are white cars bearing the taxi sign and they belong to a couple of companies, which are very reliable. The normal taxi fare from the airport to downtown Bologna is around 16 Euro during the day, reaching around 17-18 Euro during the night and on Sunday/festivities. Naturally, these are very rough estimates and the actual cost obviously depends on the traffic. Companies web sites are: |
