MARIELLE GOSSET



Marielle Gosset is a researcher at the French Institute for Research on Sustainable Development (IRD), in the GET laboratory in Toulouse.
Her main research interests are in tropical hydrometeorology and hydrological applications of rainfall products, including understanding the genesis of floods. She has been working on rainfall estimation in West Africa, using polarimetric radars, dense gauge networks, satellite information and more recently mobile phone networks.
She is one of the principal investigators of the Indo-French satellite mission Megha-Tropiques (MT) one of GPM constellation's member with an orbit dedicated to enhancing sampling in the Tropics. She has been in charge of the MT validation program (MTGV) and is currently coordinating the MT research group for hydrometeorological applications.
