Frame definition

EarthCARE/CPR Level 1b and Level-2 products contains a frame data. One frame is defined as 1/8 orbit. The eight frames in one orbit are identified by "frame ID" such as “A“, “B”, “C”, ”D”, “E”, “F”, “G” and “H” in order, as shown in Figure1.

All Level 1 data have overlap/margins at the frame boundaries for data processing to ensure higher level processing does not require data from previous or subsequent frames. EarthCARE/CPR Level 2 data has not overlap/margins at the frame.
