Advanced earth observing satellite "Midori" (ADEOS) observed DTL datais on February 25, 1997. Red areas indicate high temperature, and green areas low. The center of screen is near Tokyo, the lower left shows near Kii Peninsula and the upper right shows Sanriku. The cold current and the warm current collide off Sanriku and this area may have a concentraton of fish.
