The First Earth Observation Research Center Symposium was held in Laforet Museum Roppongi, Tokyo on March 5, 1996. The objective of the symposium was to consider the role of the newly established center with all kinds of people relating to Earth Observation research. More than 300 people from universities, research institutes, etc. gathered in the hall of Laforet Museum Roppongi which is located on the B-1 Floor of the same building as EORC.
