Roma
This image covers an area of 15 square km centered on Terumini Station, a rectangular whitish spot in the center. The stre¤¢m meandering north to south is the Tevere River. The black spot in the northern part nestled along the river is Urbe Airport. The symbol of the Roman Empire authority, the Colosseum Arena, is visible as a brown round-shaped spot 1.5km southwest of Termini Station. The brown spot, west across the river from Termini Station is St.Peters Square in the Vatican City State. The Vatican, residence to the Roman Catholic pope, is the smallest state and the head church for hundreds of millions of Catolics. The white spot next to the square is the world's biggest church, St.Peters Grreat Church. Slightly to the northeast of Termini Station, an oblong area can be seen, this is the Campo Verano Cemetery.
The area just to the west of the Colosseum Arena is Foro ROmano, the center of religion, politics, military and economy in ancient Roma. Here is the square where Julius Caeser, the greatest stateman and strategist as well of the Roman era, gave speeches or summoned soldiers for long expeditions. In addition, there are the Curis, shrinnes, a triumphal arch and halls which had great influence on the whole of Europe in the later ages.
