Research dataset

We provide two kind of dataset, first is normal dataset, which is calibrated and validated. Second is research dataset which isn’t finish calibration or validation, for purpose of research.

Research product datasets

Providing site Overview
K&C Mosaic Homepage The reference dataset for the "ALOS Kyoto and Carbon Initiative Project".
PALSAR mosaic and Forest / Non-forest map New global 25m-resolution PALSAR mosaic and Forest / Non-forest map distribution in 2007 - 2010 by PALSAR.

∗ Old Version
1) Porto Velho, Rondonia, Brazil
2) Riau, Indonesia
3) Congo River

Global Forest / Non-forest mapThe global forest and non-forest area distribution in 2007 and 2009 by PALSAR.
IPY Dataset Homepage Monitoring the north and south polar regions using PALSAR for contributing " International Polar Year "
High Resolution Land-Use and Land-Cover Map (in Japanese) The High Resolution Land-Use and Land-Cover Map generated using mainly AVNIR-2 in Japan. This is categorized 1) water, 2) urban, 3) paddy, 4) crop field, 5) grass land, 6) deciduous tree, 7) evergreen tree, 8) bare land, 9) snow and ice with 50m spatial resolution.
Glacial Lake Inventory of Bhutan Data Release Glacial Lake Inventory of Bhutan using AVNIR-2 and PRISM.
Precise Global Digital 3D Map "ALOS World 3D" Homepage JAXA is starting to process the precise global digital 3D map using some 3 million data images acquired by the ALOS. The digital 3D map to be compiled this time has the world's best precision of five meters in spatial resolution with five meters height accuracy that enables us to express land terrain all over the world. Hence its strong character will prove useful in various areas including mapping, damage prediction of a natural disaster, water resource research etc.
MODIS Near Realtime Data In MODIS Near Realtime Data, we use the data that has been observed by NASA earth observation satellite TERRA / AQUA mounted sensor MODIS. Tokai University Information Technology Center (TRIC) and the JAXA EOC. is receiving and brightness. After that, the two organization do geometric transformation processing (Level 1B), and JAXA EORC provide the data to the public after quasi-real-time processing.
GSMap (JAXA global rainfall watch) We offer hourly global rainfall maps in near real time (about four hours after observation) using the combined MW-IR algorithm with GPM-Core GMI, TRMM TMI, GCOM-W AMSR2, DMSP series SSMIS, NOAA series AMSU, MetOp series AMSU and Geostationary IR data. Background cloud images are globally merged IR data produced by NOAA Climate Prediction Center (CPC), using IR data observed by JMA's MTSAT satellite, NOAA's GOES satellites and EUMETSAT's Meteosat satellites.
JAXA Himawari monitor JAXA Himawari monitor provides the himawari data of rgb images, sea surface temperature, aerosol, and short wave radiation. The P-Tree System (hereinafter referred to as "the Service") provides the Himawari Geophysical Parameter Data produced by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) Earth Observation Research Center (EORC) and the Himawari Standard Data provided by the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA), in free of charge.
