Data Distribution Service
In JAXA, The data sent from the earth observation satellite was received and recorded by ground stations, such as the Earth Observation Center (EOC). Received and recorded Earth observation satellite data is processed various types of correction (geometric-radiation amount correction, etc.). The data is provided various users.
Monitoring
By using the data from the various sensors mounted on the satellite, you can see information about the climate of the Earth (rain distribution, etc) in near real time.
Not only monitoring, but also some sites such as GSMap(Global Satellite Mapping of Precipitation) and JAXA Himawari monitor provide datasets.
Data set
We provide two kind of dataset, first is normal dataset, which is calibrated and validated. Second is research dataset which isn’t finish calibration or validation, for purpose of research.
