Announcement of The 2^nd ALOS PI Workshop and Final Meeting of the JERS-1 RI Program

Having the launch of Advanced Land Observing Satellite (ALOS) in about 1 year, we are pleased to announce the holding of the 2^nd ALOS PI Workshop and Final Meeting of the JERS-1 RI Program in Awajishima, Hyogo, Japan from January 19 through 23, 2004.

The 2^nd ALOS PI Workshop is to be the information exchange platform reporting the progress of ALOS science and application programme and the status of PIs' research study.

The Final Meeting of the JERS-1 RI Program will be the final official meeting to report each research result from the 2nd Research Invitation programme.

All PIs and CIs of ALOS / JERS-1 are invited to present your research plan/result and to join the discussion. Any researchers with interest are also highly welcomed to attend as audiences. No registration fee is charged.

In addition, the announcement of "International Symposium on Monitoring, Prevention and Mitigation of Disasters by Satellite Remote Sensing" hosted by the Disaster Prevention Research Institute, Kyoto University, which will be held in tandem with the above ALOS / JERS-1 meetings, will be released soon at the following web site:
